Settlers Gin Rewarded For Its Outstanding Quality

silver medal

Founded in 2000, the San Francisco World Spirits competition is one of the oldest competitions of its kind where spirit distilleries have been battling it out to win the coveted medals and recognition they crave.

Finishing in one of the top spots is not an easy thing to do, with the judges being seasoned experts and having trusted palates only used to the very best. Taking home a medal at the SFWSC, indicates the highest caliber of quality and that craftsmanship has been exceptional.

Bringing Home the Medals

On the day, judges sit through rounds of highly controlled blind tastings to decide which spirits are medal worthy. No information is given on price point or the producer, allowing them to judge each product fairly and without bias.

Entries are not judged against each other, but simply given a gold, silver or bronze medal if they are deemed fit. Settlers Gin enjoyed an impressive silver medal for their hugely popular Yuzu Gin. This silver medal means it’s recognised as one of the best in the category, showing finesse, refinement and complexity of gin suppliers worldwide.

The Settlers Artisan Sloe Gin and the Artisan Spiced Fig Gin, brought home the bronze medals meaning they’re excellent examples in their categories and are recognised for their phenomenal quality. These are enormous achievements and well deserved after years of hard work.
